This appears to be another shell cemented onto the Conch shell. It is believed to be of the Family Turritellidae and the Genus and Species of Vermicularia recta. These shells are sometimes solitary and sometimes cemented in clusters. It began life as a tightly coiled spire and uncoiled as it grew. They are from the Pliocene age only supposedly, but this one was found in the Leisey Shell Pit which is supposed to be lower Pleistocene. This long extinct species is similar to the West Indian Worm Shell.
