located in Wyoming
The place where your Curator (and many others) have dug on several occasions, is at the Warfield Quarry, near Kemmerer, Wyoming. For a map, see the bottom of this page, and go to their web site: http://www.fossilsafari.com/safari/map.html.
Very soon, we will be adding specimens from this location as well as information on the Fossil Bed National Monument, which is just North of Kemmerer, Wyoming and the Warfield Quarry.
Near Fossil Butte National Monument is the WARFIELD QUARRY. For a map to the Warfield Quarry, go to that page.
This page is just under construction. We have photos from here being scanned for inclusion, along with the text regarding this really fine United States National Monument. It contains fossil fish, alligators, palm and other plants and other marine life. We look forward to bringing this page up to speed soon. Thanks for your patience.
